Medium red with very nice schiller inside, this faceted Oregon Sunstone is one of my favorites! Faceted in a round brilliant cut, this gem has flash, depth, nice color and beautiful coppery schiller inside. , Set in sterling silver with 23" sterling silver chain.
From the Sun Summit Mine, near Plush, Oregon. This area is the only place locality in the world where these gemstones with copper inclusions are found.
The Oregon Sunstone gem measures 12.2mm across and is 5.4cts. The setting is 28mm across.
